The Year 2024 is coming to an end. What “milestones” happened this year and why did I want to write about these?

I really like how some services like Spotify, Apple Music or Steam capping the entire year with statistics. It’s a small blink into the enormes dataset which they are collecting about myself.

Maybe in the future you see a Facebook recap about how many themed ads you see or clicked? Or how many fake-news articles you read and how many mean comments you posted? “Click-To-Post” rating? That sure would be a funny recap to share. Well to bad I’m not on Facebook ;)

But on a personal note what can I be recapping the year 2024? What are things that I considered “big” for me?

• I’m using Linux for gaming. I was surprised how well it is working with proton.
• I successfully did my first home-grown brocoli after a failed attempt. It was a fun ride!
• I wasn’t very social but that is okay but I did write more. Even for this blog.
• Music listening was very important for me this year. It is a way to connect without being into a crowd and social anxiety.
• I read more! Which I love but due to time constraints couldn’t do it as often as I wanted.

Maybe 2025 will be even better. At least this is what I want to believe.
